Our Story
01. First meet
After talking for a while via DM's and text messages they saw each other in person for the first time ever at a church service. Desho'nai said "let's take a picture" and to this day, she doesn't let them leave anywhere without making sure they take a selfie just like this one.Â
02. When it became official
Princeton invited Desho'nai on a private gondola ride. While on the tour, the host encouraged Desho'nai to pick up a message in a bottle that was floating in the water. When she opened it the message read: "Desho'nai will you be my girlfriend?" and the rest is history.Â
03. The proposal
January 30th, around 80 close family and friends where invited to visit a pop-up art exhibit called: "DP Forever: A Love Story Unfolds". The exhibit featured 8 custom paintings that Princeton had curated. After walking Desho'nai through the first 7 pieces, Princeton unveiled the final portrait and popped the question.Â
The Bride
Desho'nai Angelique Burton was born to Orville and Rosy Burton and is the youngest of six siblings. As a child she was extremely adventurous, animated, and a lover of art and animals.Â

At fifteen years old, Desho'nai accepted the invitation of a friend to attend church and that night she rededicated her life to Christ. At a Benny Hinn Crusade held at the Anaheim Convention center, Desho'nai along with her sister Enjo'lai, received the baptism in the Holy Ghost. After these life-changing events, Desho'nai catapulted in her salvation journey and she quickly accepted her call to ministry. She has preached at churches and conferences across the country with a special gift for deliverance ministry, evangelism, and women's ministry. She is the author of "Rising Early with Jesus", a 31-day devotional for spiritual renewal. Â

Desho'nai has a distinct passion for education and has six earned degrees. Her most recent educational achievement was graduating from Cal Baptist University with her MS in Counseling Psychology and she currently serves as an Assocciate Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. She is the founder and CEO of Restoring Hope For Youth Foundation, and has the ultimate goal of opening a center that will house and rehabilitate disenfranchised teens.Â

Outside of work, Desho'nai LOVES dressing up, making jewelry, facetiming her friends for long deep chats, and binge-watching dramas on Netflix or old episodes of Dr Phil so she can diagnose the show guests.Â
Princeton Irvin Parker is the proud son of Irvin and Symone Starr-Parker. He was born into a loving family that valued faith, community, and fun. As a kid he loved basketball, music, and all things church. He began public speaking at 2 years old and accepted his call to the ministry at 4. He was licensed as a minister by the Church of God in Christ at 7. Since then he has traveled the country preaching and continues to this day serving in full time ministry.Â

A native of Los Angeles, Princeton matriculated through LA schools including New Mt Calvary Christian Academy, Ambler Elementary, 32nd St Middle School and Hamilton High School. He completed his undergrad studies at the University of Southern California. After college Princeton began his career with the Walt Disney Company, an opportunity he credits to God, and to doors opened through the Disney Dreamers Academy. He currently serves as a Creative Strategist supporting Disney Experiences and in 2025, he won his first Emmy. He passionately and faithfully serves as Senior Pastor of Crusade Christian Faith Center in Inglewood CA.

He has a heart for people, faith, music, culture, and service. Outside of working, Princeton loves brunch, baking, museums, men's fashion, and listening to/playing music.Â
